New Diary

6 days in, it’s really time to get ahead of the game. You’ve got an endless list of resolutions, but have you made time for them yet? While a mental reminder might work for the meantime, we can sometimes lose track of our goals as we fall deeper into the year, and with that goes our heavy schedule of meetings, afterwork drinks and birthdays too. There’s also nothing that can beat a finely designed diary to admire on your desk and the novelty of writing inside everyday. I’ve got my eye on the new collection of Papier Diaries [which are currently being sold with 15% off] complete with weekly, monthly and yearly overviews. You’ll be sure to find a design you’ll fall in love with, plus you can even get the front and back personalised too! Another alternative I’ve got my eye on are The Completist’s Daily Planners, again they’ve got a set of beautiful and varied designs, and for someone like me who is always scribbling, there’s more than plenty of room to really get yourself sorted.

Keep Everyday Essentials Organised with a…

Minimal Backpack

While backpacks haven’t always been my favourite thing [..you’ll understand if you also carry your life around with you #guilty], I’ve naturally been using some that I bought a couple of years back. If you’re someone like me who thinks a backpack doesn’t always look cool, or isn’t used to wearing one, try wearing a single strap over one shoulder, or even using it as a handbag utilising that top handle. I’ve recently come across some beautifully minimal yet incredible functional carry wear from The 5th, like this backpack with perfectly sized internal compartments for the everyday essentials which would usually get lost in a tote bag.

Keep on Time for Your Meetings with an…

Obaku Watch

Whether you’re a watch wearer, or a watch-wearer to be, investing in classic and adaptable styles is key. For the last few months I’ve been alternating between two watches from Obaku’s Viol Collection. With a clean and sophisticated design collectively inspired by the cultures of Denmark and Japan, my Gold Viol Watch becomes a statement completing a dark-hued outfit, and my Granite Viol Watch adds dimension to the more neutral-toned looks.

Get Yourself Together with a…

Leather Document Holder

Wear a clutch for the evening, but why not for the office? There can be those times when we need to read through documents on the way home, or do some extra preparation for a morning meeting on the way into work. Since the company launched, Stockholm-based brand, & Other Stories have designed some admirably classy leather envelopes for these very situations. Go with a polished leather finish like this to or add a bit of texture to your office attire with a snakeskin-effect like this.

Don’t Lace Up, Wear…

Leather Loafers

Find me in my office and you’ll see me in heeled boots, no doubts there. Find me in my office in a couple of weeks time though, and you could very well witness me switching to a pair of leather loafers. So 2018 you say? So not. Long live loafers because they’ll always be a classic fashion piece, like these from Gucci. Alternatively, these Equestrian Buckle Loafers from & Other Stories are just as good for less than half the price. Designed to complete an outfit with elegance, adding the smart to ‘smart casual’, why not slip a pair of these on when you need a break from those heels?

Minimal backpack is such a classic indeed. Can’t go wrong with them, so elegant, practical, and really convenient too.
