Striped Ts + Dungarees

They say that striped shirt is a staple in the wardrobe, an essential that everyone has, but truth be told, I didn’t really own one until this year, and I’ve really missed out. I recently fell in love with this one from COS, it’s a cool alternative to the navy and white one I’m sporting in these shots during a walk through the cobbled streets of Oxford. You can’t go wrong with a striped T and dunagrees, I swear, they’re a match made in heaven. Despite the simplicity of the stripes, they still bring some playful rhythm to a minimal outfit. In addition, the blue hue of these denim dungarees from Romwe make the outfit more casual as opposed to the effect of smart cigarette trousers. A pop of red on the lips gives the overall look some dimension and lifts the subtle colour palette slightly.

(This post is in collaboration with Romwe – featuring their blue denim dunagrees worn in size S)

As we shift from summer to autumn, dunagrees of any kind are so appropriate for the sudden change of weather we experience during this time of year. They no doubt finish off your outfit with a fun look, they’re comfy yet cool, and they’re also a total statement. I’m starting to collect various ones which I’ll share with you towards the end of the year, but these are probably my first pair which aren’t in a skinny fit, and surprisingly they fit really well. I’m usually worried that I’ll be completely swamped in any bottoms which aren’t labelled “skinny” or “slim” fit, and it doesn’t help to have some weird tiny ankles long leg ratio going on. I’m definitely loving this pair which give off a slouchy yet put together look!
