From London to Lyon ..and then to Luberon!
I’ve always been obsessed with going somewhere. Whether it’s moving cities for a good while (which I’ve only done once in my life), visiting a new country or even just taking the London Underground for a few stops, I’ve always found it exciting. It’s the fact that you have the potential to meet knew people, be exposed to a completely new culture, oror have the relief of being in a different setting for a weekend that captivates me so much. Anything can happen.
The new few blog posts will be written in retrospective. I’ve just returned from a week-long stay in the Luberon area of France, one of the best holiday’s I’ve been on, exploring the most dreamy settings which you can see here! For now though, I’ll just show you some shots we took once we arrived in Lyon–Saint-Exupéry Airport. I also took the opportunity to show you my new suitcase haha (how exciting, right? …). I literally love it, I could collect these things haha.
On the way back I flew alone and happened to be sitting next to a really friendly person! It’s so delightful when a stranger greets you with a smile and actually asks how your day is going.
Last time this happened on a plane, I was flying to Bergen, and it was my first flight alone. I took my place in my aisle seat and another person happened to be seated already by the window. Her name was Vriko, and we immediately got on really well talking about life and what we were doing. The lady sat between us asked if we wanted to swap as she could see we were having a good time haha. I still keep in touch with Vriko to this day.
Anyway, on the way back from Lyon with this person (I didn’t get his name) we spoke about life in general which is always the most interesting subject. We also spoke about cultures, as he was from Melbourne Australia and just moved to London 6 months ago! I had so many questions haha – I knew nothing about Australia. The other funny thing is I ended up talking about my Architecture ‘career’ as if he would not really know what it’s like to be in the industry and he happened to have studied the exact same thing as me and slightly changed his career path as I have started to. Small world! and so funny how I would have seen him differently had we not actually spoken at all (I hate to feel judgemental, but I think we all are to some degree).
I’ll let you know some more about what happened between these flights in the next post for sure. Speak soon x
