Dover’s Hill, The Cotswolds
Some of you may know that I live life in London during the weekdays, and switch to relaxed vibes in Oxford by the weekend. I’ve been doing this for a couple of months now, and the other day I sat thinking about new things we could do in and around Oxford. I realised how lucky I was to kind of live two lives (in a way.. some kind of way). In the weekend I have the possibility of exploring the beautiful English countryside – the kind of places non-existent in London. One place I’ve always wanted to properly visit is the Cotswolds, if you haven’t heard of it.. I’m sure you’ll remember the cute little Rosehill cottage Amanda stayed at in The Holiday?! Anyway, a little research brought me to learn about The Cotswold Way, a National Trust public footpath stretching from Bath to Chipping Campden – search it, it’s looooong.
We took the car out, rolled down the roof with wind swept hair and made our way to Chipping Campden! But no, we didn’t do the walk (I will one day). Actually, initially I was in search of the famous yellow rapeseed fields, but they have all gone … we still had the most beautiful day up here on Dover’s Hill which we found by pure sweet luck …

The Lightweight Two-piece (HERE)
I’ve never worn anything like this little two-piece, that SHEIN have sent me to try, but the glorious weather made it highly appropriate to pop it on along with the most classic sun hat!
What makes this outfit so appropriate for summer is it’s lightweight fabric along with the playful frills on the ends of the top and shorts. Another new try out for me is sailor stripes – one of the most major key trends for S/S17 (including banker stripes and all the other varieties). These particular stripes and colour combination instantly give you that summer vibe, even with the absence of bright tones. The adjustable cord on the top makes this outfit suitable for women with any kind of bust size, and my key focus when making a clothing purchase is whether it’s comfortable, or will I never want to wear this out again because it completely embarrassed me? There’s no problems with this piece, the cord is also quite lengthy, so you even have the option of cutting it short to suit your preference.

Styling a Two-Piece
I’ve styled this outfit with varied neutral tones because with a double-patterned two-piece, I wanted the stripes to be my key piece, everything else toned down (almost blended with my caramel skin tone – unintentionally!). The overall laying of neutral tones prevents the outfit from becoming oversimplified but gives it a gentle dimension. I wanted this look so feel absolutely free, so the tanned sandals look almost non-existent close, to barefoot, allowing the straw bag and hat to be my main detail pieces. In terms of accessories I kept it simplified with dainty gold jewellery from &Other Stories and H&M.

Haha exactly, I want both, at the same time! I guess it’s nice to be in Oxfordshire during the weekends – it’s like a mini holiday.
