EXPLORING OXFORD
Isn’t it funny how we sometimes take our surroundings for granted. The more I’m on instagram, the more I’m discovering new things – new things in places that I’m always in! It’s crazy how I forget to look up, moan that we do the same things, but in fact, I’m just totally unaware that there’s always more. On Saturday I arrived in Oxford to stay for the weekend, and not long ago, I lived here for 3 years. This weekend I looked out for things that I’d spotted on Instagram, buildings I passed everyday. For example I didn’t know there was an observatory deck in the centre, or that there was an entire row of colourful facades above the shops (much like London’s Portobello Road) on Broad Street.
You know, I’m wearing this thick cable knit jumper because the weather man said it was going to be quite a chilly and cloudy day, but of course he lied (Apple, too) ..at least I remembered my sunnies. This Brandy Melville bag is my new favourite, it’s a classic, secure, can be worn held by the handle or as a backpack, and it fits a DSLR camera and a film camera! The joys of not having to lug around a huge tote bag every time we want to take photographs. Even though I wish it came in a tan colour, I love it as a summer bag as it’s simply weightless and the thinness of the straps make it very feminine and cute – a lovely touch to an outfit. I’ve been searching for a cute backpack like this for a while, and the previous ones I found just looked so ..chunky. You may also recognise this H&M cable knit, it was super popular over the winter – well I’ve actually began propping the bottom hem up as the natural shaping of the jumper is rather unflattering – I just used a couple of safety pins, tadah!
You can now shop all my looks through the widget above, or through the links below. I’ve also included some other alternative and similar items as some that i am wearing are unfortunately sold out or no longer available!
Hope you had a lovely weekend wherever you were.
